In my previous post, I shared the overall context of my presentation regarding The Good, The Bad and The Ugly of AI, as I believe context is always important to establish from the outset. I discussed how habits are designed to make life easier and how people often need a gentle nudge to change these ingrained behaviours.

When we discuss The Good of artificial intelligence (AI), it’s essential to recognise the positive impacts it can have on our lives. As Napoleon famously stated near the end of his wars, “There is nothing we can do.” We must face the fact that AI is here, and there is no turning back. Instead, we should focus on how to embrace it for the betterment of society.

One of the most promising areas for AI is education. Narrow AI, which is the current development and commercial stage of AI, has the potential to personalise learning experiences, catering to the unique needs of each student, especially those who have specific needs on either end of the spectrum. By analysing individual learning patterns, AI can provide tailored resources and support, helping students grasp complex concepts at their own pace. This personalised approach not only enhances understanding but also fosters a love for learning, making education more accessible and engaging for everyone.

Beyond education, AI is making waves in the entertainment industry. A prime example is the ABBA hologram concert, which allows fans to experience the iconic band in a whole new way. This innovative use of technology brings nostalgia to life while introducing a fresh, immersive experience for audiences. Additionally, AI is being used to generate new music, enabling artists to explore creative avenues they may not have considered otherwise. By collaborating with AI, musicians and artists can push the boundaries of their art, resulting in exciting and innovative compositions.

The positive impact of AI extends to various aspects of our daily lives, from improving healthcare outcomes through predictive analytics to enhancing customer experiences in retail. By automating routine tasks, AI frees up time for individuals to focus on what truly matters, whether that’s spending time with loved ones or pursuing personal passions.

By allowing AI to take on more mundane tasks, we can free up valuable time and mental energy to focus on what truly matters: human interaction. In our fast-paced world, many of us find ourselves overwhelmed by routine responsibilities, which can detract from our ability to connect meaningfully with others. When AI automates these repetitive tasks—such as scheduling, data entry, or even customer service inquiries—we can redirect our attention towards building relationships, fostering collaboration, and engaging in creative pursuits.

Rather than resisting change, let’s welcome AI as a powerful tool that can enrich our lives and drive positive transformation in society. It’s here, and it’s time to embrace it.
