My AI Ecosystem
My AI ecosystem is built around my values of data privacy and using technology as a tool. I see AI as a critical friend, someone I can turn to for support when I need help or want to sort through my thoughts and documents. I often ask direct and specific questions, which helps me clarify my ideas and make better decisions. While I occasionally request breakdowns of analyses, I try to keep that to a minimum, focusing instead on using AI to enhance my own thinking.
On the go, I rely on the Audio Pen to transform my audio jargon into understandable text. This tool is a game-changer for me, as it allows me to capture my thoughts quickly and efficiently. Audio Pen turns my rambling thoughts into readable and coherent text. Once I have the text, I feed it into DuckDuckGo’s AI, Duck.ai, which helps me refine and expand on my ideas. This two-step process ensures that I’m making the most of my thoughts while keeping everything clear and concise.
I reached out to the CEO of Audio Pen for clarity on data use and retention, and I was pleased with the response. They assured me that they don’t use our data to train large language models (LLMs), and any data collected is removed from their servers within a month. This level of transparency is crucial for me, as it aligns with my commitment to data privacy.
When it comes to AI tools, I’ve compared DuckDuckGo’s Duck.ai with the educational versions of Gemini and Copilot. After testing them out, I found that I prefer Duck.ai. It is free, uses the GPT-4o model, doesn’t keep my data, and is user-friendly. This balance of functionality and affordability is exactly what I’m looking for in my AI ecosystem. Currently, this setup is working for me, but it might change in the future.
My approach to using AI is all about leveraging technology while staying true to my values. By combining tools like Audio Pen and Duck.ai, I can enhance my productivity and creativity without compromising on data privacy.
