Padlet is an online board marker that allows people to work on a webpage about a common topic. The changes are real-time hence has the qualities of a wiki but with an edge. No registration is required, however registering with the site with an email address or your Google Plus account has its added benefits such as customization of your URL and the ability to edit your board at a later stage. Whether you diecide to register with the site or not, It is very easy to use. You simply go to padlet.com and double click anywhere on the board (which looks more like a blank canvas). By double clicking anywhere on the board you can add text, documents, image and video. You can also customize your background password protect your board if you want to restrict access.
When creating your online board, you can either use a Freeform or Stream format. Freeform allows users to add the required data anywhere on the board, however the stream format works like a dynamic page and inserts the most recent data at the top.
